Pastor Norm Melton
I was raised in the Saginaw, Texas area just Northwest of Ft. Worth. Graduated from W.E. Boswell High School, and attended Tarrant County Jr. College. I also attended North Lake College in Irving, Texas as well as Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Ft. Worth. Later graduated from Grayson County College with an Associates in Business Management and eventually received my Masters of Divinity from Slidell Baptist College.
I came to know Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior at about the age of 19. Shortly after that I fell in love with the lady of my life, Judy Baldwin Melton, and never dreamed of the journey that God would take us on. We have two grown sons. Both are involved in the ministry, Shane and wife Krista, in Texarkana, Texas, and Chad and wife Jodee, in Kansas City, Missouri, and four fantastic grandchildren, Kayla, Brayden, Lillee, and Lincoln.
I cannot begin to tell of how many ways that God has blessed our lives over the years. We have served in several great churches and in the summer of 2014, God lead us to Robertson Avenue Baptist in Copperas Cove, Texas.
As we begin the ministry here, we are looking forward to the new heights and experiences that He will lead us through, as we continue to seek His leadership and follow His guidance in every way possible.
I guess my favorite song is a song that Guy Penrod sings with the Gaither Quartet, and I call it my “Life’s Song” because it speaks to me so personally… “I’m just a sinner saved by Grace.”
